Friends of the Mount Vernon Library

The Friends of the Mount Vernon Library help the Library provide services and events it wouldn’t be able to offer without support.

The Friends meet every third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the library conference room. (There will be no meetings in June or July)

Membership Form

Membership is a great way to show your support for the Mount Vernon City Library, help fund library programs, and encourage reading in our community.

The Friends fund classes and programs, subsidize the summer reading program which serves children of low-income and immigrant families, and provides support to library projects. Your membership dues, patronage at book sales, and donations support the continuation of these and other programs.

Join the Friends today!  Memberships start at only $5 and are renewed annually.

Book Sale

Check back later this summer for upcoming book sale dates.

Book Nook

Can’t wait for our next big book sale? Check out the Book Nook! Located just inside the Library entrance (near the Youth Services area), the Book Nook is the Friends of the Library’s Everyday Book Sale. We’ve got great titles for sale whenever the Library is open. Come have a look in the nook.
