Hannah grew up in Mount Vernon and proudly attended Mount Vernon Public Schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade, and learned from an early age the value of being an active member of our community.
Hannah has worked for the Mount Vernon School District, Skagit Habitat for Humanity, and various nonprofits advocating for workers’ rights, school funding, healthcare access, Immigrants’ rights, and an inclusive democracy where everyone has the resources they need to thrive.
Outside of work, Hannah proudly volunteers with Skagit Gleaners to recover food from all over the NW to bring it to the homes of people who need it. Hannah also helped found the Skagit Gleaner Garden in 2023, where residents come together to grow much-needed food for the community. Hannah was also previously on the Mount Vernon Arts Commission, which brought accessible, free art to our city.
Hannah has a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's in teaching with endorsements in social studies and visual art. Hannah has also taken the Viva Farms practicum in sustainable agriculture.
Hannah has a fantastic spouse, CJ, and they have two amazing dogs and several chickens together.
