This 3,142 square foot log cabin is located at Hillcrest Park in Mount Vernon. The lodge has an open floor plan, open ceilings with exposed beams, a fireplace, a large kitchen, and a gated patio. Maximum capacity for the Lodge is 150 people.
Rental fee must be paid by cash, local check, VISA, American Express, Discover, or MasterCard upon reserving the facility. Security deposit is payable no later than 30 days prior to the event by cash or check.
All rentals include the full use of the Lodge, kitchen and patio, as well as, the use of approximately 16 60” diameter round tables, 16 6’ banquet style tables, approximately 150 chairs and a 100 cup coffee maker. Renters will be responsible for set up and take down of all tables and chairs.
The lodge does have a free Wi-Fi connection for renters inside the Lodge.
Reservation for the Lodge may be made one year in advance of the 1st day of the rental month (for example, September 20, 2031 can be reserved starting September 1, 2030.) Rental Fees
- Monday-Thursday
- Resident: $45 per hour | 2 hour minimum
- Non Resident: $55 per hour | 2 hour minimum
- Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- Resident: $55 per hour | 10 hour minimum
- Non Resident: $65 per hour | 10 hour minimum
*Resident status is based on renter’s current address and must be within City limits of Mount Vernon to receive the resident rate. Renters who own property inside City limits of Mount Vernon but reside in another area are also eligible to receive the resident rental rate. Security Deposit
- Event with no alcohol: $300
- Event with alcohol: $750 plus a Banquet Permit and Event Insurance
- Banquet permits must be purchased through the Washington State Liquor Control Board and must be posted inside the Lodge during your event.
- Event insurance may be purchased through GatherGuard and a copy of the certificate must be provided to our office.
- Insurance requirements for special events will automatically be met through WCIA. Special event insurance may also be obtained through any other insurance agency you prefer so long as the same requirements are met. Those requirements are:
- City of Mount Vernon must be named as additional insured
- $1,000,000 minimum limit for each occurrence
- $2,000,000 minimum limit for general aggregate
- Endorsement must be included with the certificate
- Host Liquor coverage must be included for all events with alcohol. Liquor Liability coverage is required if renter is in the business of buying, selling or serving alcohol.
- Insurance requirements for special events will automatically be met through WCIA. Special event insurance may also be obtained through any other insurance agency you prefer so long as the same requirements are met. Those requirements are:
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to a Friday through Sunday rental will result in forfeiture of 50% of the rental fee; cancellations 59 days or less will result in forfeiture of entire rental fee. Made 14 days or more prior to a Monday through Thursday rental will result in forfeiture of 50% of the rental fee; cancellations 13 days or less will result in forfeiture of entire rental fee.
