Playing with Pattern in Watercolor Space2023-06-17T13:00:00Placement of pattern and cadence in patterns as compositional tools are taught in two steps, first in drawing and in paint. Repeated pattern is easily understood but creating playful repetition of patterns and placing these elements to create a rhythm and directional lines are more precise goals. We will design cut paper templates to inspire as we organize our composition, keeping the feeling light and jazz like, and to find the ideal placement of the shapes to draw the eye in. Finished project will be executed in paint and exhibit rhythm unique to the artist. Instructor provides all materials to include papers, paint, drawing tools and brushes.
