Summer Reading 2023

Summer Reading officially starts on June 26th! Your summer reading can be tracked on paper or online. To track online, you can sign-up starting June 12th at mountvernonwa.beanstack.org. Select the Summer Library Program 2023 option for your age level. To track on paper, visit the Youth Services desk for a bingo sheet starting on June 26th. Adults and seniors are invited to join us for the 2023 Summer Reading BINGO Challenge. Read books, explore your community, and attend events to complete a BINGO card and win prizes! Pick up a bingo sheet at the library and complete any five squares and fill out the entry ticket to receive a prize and get entered into the grand prize drawing for a Fire 10 Tablet! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Mount Vernon Library, Shambala Bakery, and elSage.

Cooking Demonstration

Our next Trial By Flavor recipe is Dan Dan Noodles! We will be hosting a live cooking demonstration of the recipe with Chef Suzanne Butler at the library on Thursday, June 29th at 5:30pm. After the demonstration free ingredient kits will be available to take home.
