Puppet show tomorrow at the library!
Based in Amman, Jordan, Yazan Masarweh has been an artist his entire life. A children’s book author with more than 12 published titles to his name, he merges his skills as a storyteller with his clever and unique artistic stylings within the visuals of his paintings. Fascinated by the underappreciated daily activities of women, his paintings capture the human element of routine. Yazan’s creativity allows him to include using castaway items as settings to illustrate the mundane. From painting with acrylic on stones, cardboard and tiles from the streets near his home to watercolor and natural pigments on handmade paper and traditional canvas, Yazan’s work knows no limits and breaks many compositional molds.
In addition to his artwork and children's books, Yazan Masarweh is the Director of Jordan Operations for Voices of the Children, is an in-demand puppeteer and storyteller and an emergency room clown for Red Noses.
