Library Giving Day is April 6!
It’s a special day to tell the library that you love its staff and special programs. The Mount Vernon Public Library’s basic needs are funded by City taxes, County support funds, and an occasional grant.
Programs that make the library truly great are supported exclusively through donations. These are programs from the extraordinary array of children’s activities, to adult classes to check-outable Lego kits, Orion StarBlast Telescopes, and Washington Discovery Backpacks to name a few.
In this momentous year we will be breaking ground for a new building that will include a brand-new library. It’s already 84% funded without asking for new tax support. You can be part of this remarkable project that will change the face of the City of Mount Vernon with a donation of any size.
Who pays for the library? You and your neighbors do. Your taxes make it a good library. Your donations make it a great library.
You can donate from the Mount Vernon Library Foundation website; https://www.mvlibraryfoundation.org/make-a-donation.html or write a check to the Mount Vernon Library Foundation PO Box 202 Mount Vernon, WA 98273
