Library Commons Project

The city has just received $2,000,000 in the state budget to support the Mount Vernon Library Commons Project! We are now two-thirds funded and on our way to the largest capital project in the city's history!

We would like to thank Sen. Liz Lovelett, Rep. Debra Lekanoff, and Rep. Alex Ramel of WA District 40 for their support. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Sen. Ron Muzzall, Rep. Greg Gilday, and Rep. Dave Paul of WA District 10. One last very special thank you to our many community volunteers, without your support, this would have never been possible!

Congresswoman DelBene just released the ten projects she is supporting for community funding – we are one of the projects on the list - $2 million for the Mount Vernon Library Commons project! Although this is NOT a guarantee of funding, it's exciting to know that we were chosen for the support.
