Today’s watercolor workshop will explore wet in wet, gradient wash, limited palette, and a touch of masking fluid. Instructor provides 3 sheets of watercolor paper to delve into the alla prima method of painting seascapes. Bring to class a picture of your favorite seascape with horizon. We will explore the effects of various horizon lines, a square and a rectangular format, and the technique of gradient wash with layers of detail added in the second stage. Preparation, timing, and rhythm all factor into your work. All materials provided.
