This project will provide congestion relief, safety, and accessibility improvements to the signalized intersections on College Way and Riverside Drive. It includes construction of yellow flashing left turn signals, LED street light upgrades, American with Disability Act (ADA) upgrades including curb ramps, push button and countdown pedestrian signals at twelve intersections on College Way (Freeway Drive - Waugh Road) and Riverside Drive (Pacific Avenue - Fir Street).
Funding for this project is through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
Project Information: This project was awarded to Colacurcio Brothers of Blaine, WA in the amount of $1,449,514.00.
Project Update (11/1/2019):
ADA Ramps, concrete, and other "flatwork" has been completed. This project is currently suspended pending final materials procurement and testing of signal control cabinets. Anticipated restart is in mid-November.
