Melissa is a lifelong Skagit County resident. She was raised in Burlington with her four brothers and has lived in Mount Vernon for the past 30 years. Melissa has worked for Skagit County Superior Court for 2+ decades. She is the Superior Court Manager overseeing a staff of 10 and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Court.
Melissa is very active in the Community. She is a proud Skagit Rotarian having served the past two years as Treasurer, is currently the President-Elect and will take over as the first female President of the Club in 2018. She is very proud to be part of a Club that has given away millions of dollars in scholarships to the youth of Skagit County. Since 2011, Melissa has served on the Board of Directors of the Skagit Valley Family YMCA. Melissa is a graduate of Leadership Skagit and volunteered as a Coach for the program for a number of years. She has served on the Citizens Advisory and Facilities Planning Committees for the Mount Vernon School District. She also served as the Secretary to the Immaculate Conception Regional School, School Commission. She has served on a number of subcommittees for the Y, ICRS and has assisted on oral board panels for local law enforcement.
Melissa is married to Mike Oldow, has three daughters; Mackenzie, Maddy and Makayla Kamb and one son, Matthew Oldow. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors gardening, working out and hiking with friends. Melissa is excited for the opportunity to serve on the City Council and to continue to give back to a communitiy that has given her so much.
