In addition, the City regulates the following critical areas:
- Aquifer Recharge Areas;
- Steep slopes;
- Streams; and,
- Wetlands.
The Skagit River, a major salmon system, flows through the City along with a number of other fish bearing streams. In addition, wetlands and steep slopes are located throughout the City.
