Mount Vernon Playgrounds are OPEN!  

Let us all do our part to use them in a way that respects each other and public health guidance.  Your cooperation is paramount in allowing these spaces to remain open and accessible.  

Play It Safe

  • Please follow group size guidelines – Current Limit of 5 people

  • Wash and sanitize hands before and after use

  • Use at your own risk, playgrounds are not sanitized

  • Wear a face covering in public 

  • Stay home if you are sick

UPDATE:  

  • Park athletic fields, and rental facilities are currently closed.
  • Bakerview Park gate will remain closed, street parking is available.
  • Bakerview Dog Park is open, only dog water fountain is available.
  • Tennis courts are open.
  • Pickleball courts are open daily 8am-8pm.
  • Public restrooms open on a modified schedule, times are approximate:
    • Bakerview Park - Open at 8am, Close at 6pm
    • Upper Hillcrest Park - Open at 8am, Close at 7pm
    • Lions Park - Open at 8am, Close at 8pm
    • Riverwalk Park - Open at 8am, Close at 9pm
  • The Little Mountain Park gate will open at 10am and close at 10pm daily.
  • Rental facilities are closed until further notice.
  • All recreation programs and special events are cancelled until further notice.
  • The Parks and Enrichment Services administrative office is closed to the public. Please conduct business by phone at (360) 336-6215 or via the Parks website when possible.

Mount Vernon Parks and Enrichment Services Department invites you to “Unplug and Play” in the beautiful City of Mount Vernon.  Experience Mount Vernon’s wide variety of activities and events available for your enjoyment throughout the year; including the Illuminight Walk, Tulip Festival Street Fair, Children’s Art Festival, 4th of July Music and Fireworks, and many more.  Visit our activities and events schedule in our Recreation and Activity Guide, and come “unplug and play” with us!
