The City of Mount Vernon, Washington is solicited interest from consulting firms with expertise in civil engineering, surveying, permitting, and other related professional services. The project will add sidewalk to the west side, add bike lanes, increased street lighting, full pavement rehabilitation, and enhanced storm water facilities.

Current Status:

This project is being constructed in three phases: Phase 1 - Cameron Way to Riverbend (Blade Chevrolet); Phase 2 - Riverbend to 1415 Freeway Dr (Skagit PUD); Phase 3 - Skagit PUD to College Way.

New Stormwater pipe has been installed in phase 1. The contractor is doing road excavation and stormwater installation on phase 2 and will continue to phase 3 when complete. When stormwater installation has been completed for all phases. The contractor will return to phase 1 for curb, gutter, and sidewalk, continuing to phases 2 and 3 until complete.  Final paving and striping will take place in 2022.
