Notice of Public Comment Period - 2018 CAPER & Citizen Participation Plan


City of Mount Vernon 2018 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and Citizen Participation Plan (CPP)

The Draft Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) and Citizen Participation Plan (CPP) pertaining to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the City of Mount Vernon and the CDBG activities during the 2018-2019 program year will be available for review starting September 10, 2019. The CAPER indicates the goals, objectives and accomplishments of projects and activities undertaken during the program year that were funded wholly or in part with 2018 CDBG Funds. The CAPER will be submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Planning and Development by September 27, 2019. The CPP can be updated at any time, if needed.

The public and any interested persons are invited to review and comment in writing on the CAPER and CPP. The comment period will be from September 10, 2019 through September 25, 2019.

The City considers the views of all citizens, public agencies, and other interested groups in preparing the final CAPER. A summary of the comments or views received in writing will be added to the final CAPER prior to submission to HUD.

The City provides notice that discrimination in the sale, rental, leasing, financing of housing or land to be used for construction of housing, or in the provision of brokerage services because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicapped or familial status, is prohibited by the Federal Fair Housing Act.
