All meetings of the "Public Safety Facility Coordinating Council" are open to the public. The Public Safety Facility Coordinating Council was tasked to review long term solutions to the overcrowding issue.

This is a complicated issue which affects all County residents. The newspaper is only able to provide summary information of much larger discussions.

Mayor Boudreau is committed to assisting the County in working through this issue as an invited participant of the Council. She is also committed to the best possible solution for the residents of the City of Mount Vernon and greater Skagit County, and will continue to participate in the dialogue.
