Solid Waste Division
The Solid Waste Division operates a yard waste disposal facility inside the city shop complex at 1010 Shop Lane for residents living within the city limits that are signed up for city garbage service. Not for use by commercial lawn care providers.
The Yard Waste facility accepts grass, leaves, fruits, vegetable, brush, and branches up to 6” in diameter.
They cannot accept rocks, stumps, large pieces of sod, milled, treated, or painted lumber, railroad ties, lawn furniture, engine parts, animal waste, or garbage.
Residents must purchase a punch card prior to disposal of yard waste (with the exception of Halloween pumpkins and Christmas trees, which are free). Punch cards may be purchased at City Hall or the Yard Waste facility during regular business hours. Punch cards are available in $5, $10, or $20. One punch allows the disposal of one cubic yard of brush or 64 gallons of yard debris.
For curbside yard waste pick-up contact Waste Management at (360) 757-8245 or visit their website.
